The Tokyo Map Offline is the best travel app for you! All the travel information and map data is loaded on your iPhone or iPad before you leave your home, so can you be on the streets, offline, and still know everything about the area you are in the city. You don’t need any network connection at all once the application is installed on your iPhone or iPad – no WiFi, no 3G, no GPRS!
This is a complete travel guide for your iPhone or iPad. The entire guide is stored on your device, so it works where you have no access to the Internet - it works where Internet or GG Maps is inaccessible. This prevents expensive data roaming charges by loading all the travel and map data to your device before you leave home. You can turn off all network functions and still be able to find your way around. Lets you find all travel information, and many useful transport info such as metro, trains, trams, and many others. To make sure your phone doesnt use any expensive data on your trip, go to Settings, then General, tap on Network, and slide the Data Roaming to "off".

My friend recommended this to me when he gets to know that I am going to Tokyo. It isnt easy to get around the city since I am a foreigner and have no any knowledge of the Japanese language. This app equips me with everything I wish I have on my hand while I am in Tokyo. Little details as to how to get from airport to city center, what tickets and travel passes to get, how to order food and the sushi menu guide is a must have, the shopping guide section is also awesome!! I also know how to get around the city by metro and JR trains, we had an short excursion to Onsen places, thanks to this guide to such amazing tips. Recommended to anyone traveling to this amazing city.
this is the right map for me, it covers almost every places I intends to go with details and illustrations, even the day trip itinerary to Yokohama. And great! no need for an active Internet connection to use. Downloaded and would spend the whole flight ploughing through it.
the app is twice as heavy as my fav angry bird game, taking my ip4 a while to completely load everything. Yeah it says OFFLINE I know its supposed to be that heavy! its great if the data could be compressed for a smaller size otherwise thiss a great travelling guide app with an intensive amount of information and VERY PIXEL METRO map.

Not mean to stereotype, but English of the jjap is sooo bad. So the app will be very much handy as ur there, especially when youre in a sushi restaurant. Study the the bilingual menu first and itll in turn save a lot of time reading their menu there. Whats more, the taxi card embedded in the app would save ur day. Trust me, I have had a very difficult time getting a local dude understand me. Wish I had this useful app with me back in time there.
